Christian music review YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
This CD is incredible! I can guarentee that if you purchase this CD you will not be disappointed! I also hear that they are HOT guys!!! I can't wait for their next CD -- I hope there's a picture of them on the cover!!!

Christian music review Passion exudes
I am a bit biased, as I have known Nate and James since our collegiate days, but their obvious passion and talent is overwhelming on this CD....I've often heard their music likened to Simon & Garfunkel, and while this is not far from the truth, Nate and James are not derivative in any way.
This CD does not rely on polished technological effects, nor is it bland/a carbon copy of other, similar groups. Each song is profound, and yet, lyrically simplistic, and one feels the heart-felt passion in the words and music. If you enjoy folk/"college" music, you'll love this CD--there is not a bad song on it.
I hope that a plethora of people will be exposed to the talents of Nate and James, they are wonderful people and musicians, and I know that they will continue to put out "real" and passionate music for years to come.....

Christian music review This cd Rocks
I have listened to this cd a lot and it is great. The songs are orignal and full of cool music. Nate & James ROCK.

Christian music review Allow this CD to draw you nearer to HIM! AWESOME!!
God bless the Passion Worship Band!!!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart..."

Christian music review Listen to OneDay every day!!!!
OneDay was much more than an event. For those of us who were there, it was a blessing. Many tens of thousands of people were at Shelby Farms in Memphis, TN. And each and every one of us has a story to tell about it.

"OneDay Live" is a glimpse into the main time of worship that took place on the morning of May 20, 2000. I say glimpse because only 12 of the praise & worship songs are included on this CD. But when you listen to it, you can feel the meeting of the Holy Spirit that took place this day.

One of my favorite moments from this time of worship was the live connection that was made with a gathering of Christians in Botswana(sp?), Africa. During the song "We Fall Down," we were taught how to sing the song in their language. I really cannot even begin to describe the feeling that was flowing through the place during that time. But at least a little of it has been captured on this CD.

Although this album cannot even begin to come close to taking us back to where we were that day, it is a great way to help us remember. Even for those who were not there that day, this is one of the best praise & worship CDs that could possibly be added to your collection.

Christian music review AMAZING!
This is juat an awesome cd - definently worth having!

Christian music review Press(ing) On for Encouragement and Relaxation
I have enjoyed listening to Selah's Press On as they have an easy listening harmonic vocal blend with excellent choices of arrangements for new and old songs. The orchestration is beautiful.

Christian music review Absolutely Great!!
I absolutely love the songs Selah has released. The words are VERY balanced with the music so you can REALLY understand them (with exception to those in the African language but that's another thing that makes them so unique and wonderful-the way they intertwine their "missionary roots".) Be sure to read the stories behind the songs inside the inserts. The songs are all so inspirational they bring tears to my eyes. Keep them coming SELAH!!

Christian music review Say Se-lah!
Selah comes back with even more power in their second CD, 'Press On'. The first CD, 'Be Still My Soul', was a perfect collection of hymns, reamped to fit a very soulful and expressive group of singers. 'Press On' carries the banner on with songs such as 'There Is A Fountain', 'Wonderful, Merciful Savior', and more, including some African renditions (Todd and Nicole Smith were missionary kids living in Africa) of hymns.

Even if you may not like the African songs as much, you still get the same feeling you get as when you listen to the others...chills up the spine! This is one of the very few CD's I've listened to that made me cry and be moved at the same time. This CD's timeless, and is not to be missed.

Christian music review The Best of the Best
Point of Grace is one of the best female Christian bands in the world. This album shows how great they work together as a team.

Christian music review We live in Grace
I have enjoyed listening to POG's music not only because it is uplifting but because there is so much truth behind what they are singing. My favorite song is "The House that Mercy Built." In that song there is a phrase that says "we've nothing left to fear, we live in grace." Phrases like that will stick with any Christian. This statement of truth has been my banner for some time now. I can walk from day to day knowing that nothing will happen to me unless God wills it to happen. God will only do what is best for me, even if that means my death, "for me to live is Christ, to die is gain." Live in grace.

Christian music review Still playing it through time and again in 2002!
If FREE TO FLY hadn't come out (LOL) I would've said this is my favorite of all time, simply because all the songs cut straight into the heart and hold true to genuine POG form. Although they have one previous release to this, The Whole Truth is truly their classic with all their old, lovable favorites.

I will never forget this CD because it was one of the original 12 CD's that started me into Christian music when I was 14 years old, soon after I gave my heart to the Lord.

Great upbeat songs: GATHER AT THE RIVER, DYING TO REACH YOU, LOVE LIKE NO OTHER
Great mellow songs: THE GREAT DIVIDE, THE LOVE HE HAS FOR YOU, MORE THAN ANYTHING

5 stars -- absolutely no other rating will do! :)

Christian music review Life saving masterpiece
"Alone in His Presence" is a must if you are going through any kind of wilderness experience in your life and you need to be assured that God is always near you. In 1999, I spent some time in hospital due to life threatening pregnancy-related illness and I can honestly say along with the medical staff that were treating me that it was this album and this album alone that saved my life. The medics kept on saying to me "whatever you're listening to, keep playing it because it's working!" This album is a must!!

Christian music review Annointed
God used this album to bring some great breakthroughs in my life. I definitely recommend this album for anyone going through the storms and even for those in a time of rejoicing.

Christian music review So Sweet.
This CD will give you a feeling of comfort. Since this was her first solo, it was more of praise and worship. Her version of "I Surrender All", and "Blessed Assurance" are amazing. She sings them so well. I love "His Strength is Perfect" and "He's Always There."

Artist: The Kurt Carr Singers

Tracks:
  • In The Sanctuary
  • We Declare War
  • O My Soul Loves Jesus
  • I Almost Let Go
  • We Offer You Praise
  • Jesus Can Work It Out
  • Worship Medley

  • The Blood Still Has Miraculous Power
  • At All Times
  • Narration
  • That's Just The Way The Father Is
  • Set The Atmosphere
Awesome Wonder is what you get when you combine a charismatic worship enthusiast, a flawlessly tight band, and a knockdown-dragout choir. Complete with soaring soloists, an interactive congregation, and the heaven-sparked Kurt Carr presiding over the festivities, the Kurt Carr Singers do church in a praisin'-God-forever-and-stompin'-on-the-Devil kind of way. Although the music is done up with all of the pomp and flare imaginable, its content has a simplicity that penetrates the heart to inspire childlike praise. This third project from singer, composer, and producer Kurt Carr has set the standard for declaration of God's power. Even the more intimate moments have heart-rending qualities in their unfolding of God's goodness. But, putting the "Hallelujah!" back into the praise, several of these songs turn up the heat, until the easy-going celebration turns into ecstatic jubilation; this offers the most memorable draw of the disc. The intensity will cause a longing to be at the live show, which is the only thing that possibly could be better. --Israel Button

Christian music review You will love this!!!
I've bought 3-4 copies of this CD because everytime someone borrows it, I never get it back! It is that good. You will enjoy the lush harmonies and intricate parts. It is definately gospel music at it's best. Kurt Carr has done it again.

Christian music review A must-have for all Christian music listeners
i listened to this cd once and wasn't quite interested. however there was one song that caught my interet "set the atmosphere" #14. i began to listen to the cd more and more and now its in my player all the time. kurt carr is like fred hammond with a touch of marvin sapp and a sprinkle of donnie mcclurkin. his songs have powerful messages. no. 9 will defintely make your head bop, but the words will definitely minister to your soul. as well as his other songs, especially no. 1. this cd will make you wanna get up and shout!

Christian music review EXCELLENT!!! EXCELLENT!!! EXCELLENT!!!
Having forged a friendship with Carr when he was a musician at our church in Hartford and when he was a fellow student at the University of Connecticut, I was certain that he had THAT special, God-given gift that is SOOOO evident in this project. Awesome Wonder is simply awesome!!! The vocals, in true "Kurt Carr" style, are phenomenal. The intracacy of the music is refreshing. The album as a whole is creativity at its pinnacle. "In the Sanctuary" pierces the heart spiritually and satisfies ones need for pleasing rhythms. The project is unique and well worth the investment.

Christian music review The Reason I Fell In Love With The Acoustic Guitar!!!
I first heard this record back in 93 and it has been, in one form or another, in my collection ever since. It is to my mind one of the finest guitar recordings ever produced. I am a fan of Andres Segovia, Michael Hedges, Leo Kottke, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, and a host of other FS guitarists, so I hope you can appreciate what I mean when I say this.

What Keaggy manages to do here, and sadly only here, is to weave a collection of tunes that provoke the emotions as much as the ear. He has said that he intended the songs on this album to be in the Impressionist veign. And I cannot think of a better decription.

Listening to "A Place of Springs" for instance, one has the impression of a mind struggling with the wieght of the world and with it's own weakness. And in Keaggy's arrangement of Grieg's "Symphonic Dance" we not only hear but truly feel the elation of the instrument (as narrator) at some joyous moment we will never fully comprehend (though I like to imagine it's a wedding dance, or a childs first steps).

It's almost as though the record contains an anthology of songs that tell a story of a life from the guitar's point of view, with the guitar as it's own voice. As always, Keaggy intermingles this collage with his deep spiritual conviction--in fact, every note drips with it.

This is work of a tremendous artist, a musical virtuoso, at the peak of his powers, letting his instrument explore spaces at once too private and too universal for words. It is an amazing and breathtaking way to pass a rainy afternoon. And it rewards frequent replaying. I cannot recommend to highly.

Phil, we are in your debt for this masterpiece.

Christian music review A Masterpiece
This is one of my most cherished albums. It doesn't do all things, but what it does it does so very well. (There is also an instructional video out for guitar fans that contains many BEYOND NATURE songs that is also well done). For me, this album and his LIGHTS OF MADRID are his two finest acoustic instrumental albums. So if you are reading this and you don't have the ablum and have somehow not noticed that EVERY REVIEW IS 5 STARS, go buy this thing right now! It really is a treasure. I remember how one of my brother's friends in high school totally fell in love with this album; I've never seen anyone so moved in such a way by the beauty of music. So whether it is love at first site or something that works in you more slowly, please, for your own good, give it a listen.

Christian music review Incredible Acoustic Guitar
Beyond Nature is an acoustic tribute to C.S. Lewis, and Phil Keaggy again delivers an album full of incredibly beautiful and strongly crafted instrumentals. The focus of the music is the alternate tunings he uses throughout the album, as he showcases his talent for finger-picking guitar. Keaggy is one of my favorite musicians, and this is one of my favorite albums.

Christian music review amazing
i knew it was great when i found myself worshipping... not just singing or praising, but worshipping in my living room along with this cd. his voice speaks to the roughest parts of me, and his prayers to the softest. beautiful talent. its cool that God has raised him up in this incredibly unique time, to lead worship in living rooms and kitchens and on road trips and business trips... and stages all over the country. i look forward to hearing his next release, and am praying he will have remembered what the reflection is of along the way.

Christian music review Great, powerful voice. Incredible lyrics.
I love this CD. Todd Agnew has a very unique voice, which catches your attention. His real strength, though, is his lyrics. I think he might be the best Christian songwriter since Rich Mullins. And that is high praise in my opinion.

Christian music review Solid Christian Worship
There are few artists with the intense vocals and lyrical skill of Todd Agnew, both in the Christian and Secular worlds. He truly knows how to praise God, his voice more real than most other artists around. I love the fact that he includes a good deal of Scripture into his lyrics; he truly writes songs that not only are astounding musically, but contain the wonderful truth found only in God's word. I also love that he includes hymns: these often forgotten treasures contain some of the most wonderful words of praise to God ever written. If you haven't picked this up, do it now! You will not be disappointed by this man of God; every song is absolutely amazing. I'd give it six stars if I could.

Christian music reivew boring, dull and another little boy-sing-a-long
Oh, what a hype with Warren Barfield! The truth is: just another little boy-singing, absolutely boring, not worth hearing a second time. And I did not hear anything about God in his lyrics, all heartless and makes you fall asleep. Sometimes I think those 5-star-reviews are written by the producers of this definitely poor product. Sorry, but this is the truth.

Christian music reivew Warren Barfield CD is solid
Great lyrics, great acoustic guitars, simple catchy melodies . . . great sonic experience.

Christian music reivew NOT Boring but uplifting!
Pay NO attention to the review from Germany who called Warren's album boring and didn't have God in the lyrics. That is a very unchristian and unbeliever like attitude. I was delighted with what I heard from Warren's album and his "Mistaken" song was one of the first christian contemporary songs I ever heard when I first got into christian music two years ago.

I feel Warren is genuine in his love for God and I look forward to hearing his most latest cd.

Christian music reivew Say What?
Not impressed......at all! If this is a power trio, then I'm a bald headed banty rooster! No more coffee for you guys!

Christian music reivew Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This live recording is phenominal. No wonder why people say that Phil is one of the best if not THE best guitar players in the world, I an amazed at his talent. The other thing I like about this album is the jam bandish feel of it. I have been looking for a Christian jam band for a while my search has ended. It is really ashame that their career was so short.

The drum solo on this record is shocking(I am a drummer myself). I have never heard anybody play the drums with that much skill before. GET THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!

Christian music review I cry
Glass harp will make me cry when I hear their recordings! It is that good. When Jimi Hendrix said " maybe you should hear Phil Keaggy" , he was right ! Glass Harp please keep recording and doing your shows! Buy , Buy,Buy, Buy any thing by this band!
